Mid-November 2010

From the President

With the Thanksgiving holiday approaching, we are grateful for the opportunities to serve you. We know you have a choice when it comes to court reporting services. We will continue to work to ensure that our services fill your needs at the highest quality level.

This month, we are introducing the Mobile Transcript app which delivers transcripts to smartphones at no charge. Be sure to read the first article below which describes the features of the app and its benefits.

Clients can sign up one time and receive a Mobile Transcript anytime they schedule a deposition with us, and they will be notified by email when it’s ready on their smartphone.

Please let us know how we can help you learn more about the Mobile Transcript app or any of our services.

Happy Thanksgiving,
Sheila Atkinson-Baker

Want Transcripts Delivered to a Smartphone at No Charge? No Problem.

Mobile Transcript is an app that provides you with the ability to fully utilize deposition transcripts on your smartphone. We upload your transcripts to the Mobile Transcript website, which in turn downloads the transcripts to your iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad or Blackberry devices. And it doesn’t cost you anything.

Mobile Transcripts allows you to:

  • highlight and flag text;
  • bookmark;
  • jump to next highlight;
  • keyword search;
  • jump to page number;
  • e-mail transcripts from within the transcript;
  • e-mail transcript in PDF with or without your yellow highlights;
  • finger swipe feature to move from page to page;
  • use enlarged page arrow keys which are repositioned under user’s thumbs when holding the device horizontally; and
  • increase the screen viewing area to review and annotate the transcript.

How can Mobile Transcript benefit your practice?

Courtquips

Courtroom exchange recorded by a Texas Judge:

Raise Your Right Hand

Q. Do you understand what you are to swear to?

A. Yes, sir. I am to swear and tell the truth.

Q. That’s right. And do you know what will happen if you don’t tell the truth?

A. Well, Your Honor, I expect the other side will win the case.
