Atkinson-Baker's ARS is available to any independent reporter who has done or is doing work with us. The system is not available to agencies. For details, see the Terms of Use.

Your e-mail address will be used as your "Reporter Logon Name." You can tell us what password you want to use or we can invent one for you. In either case, the password must be at least six characters long and contain some mixture of letters and numerals. The password will also be case sensitive, so "Abbey5" is not the same thing as "abbey5."

You can cause your computer to store your log on name and password by checking the "save password" checkbox on ARS's log on page. The good thing about that is that you no longer have to remember or type in your e-mail address and password each time you use ARS. The potential downside is that anyone who sits down at your computer could log on as you. You will have to assess the benefits and risks of that approach for yourself in your situation. You can turn off the "remember" feature by un-checking the box.
