Aside from the obvious fact that it’s only fair, it shows a concern for our fellows and an interest in improving conditions in our environment. 1. Promote any diversity awards you receive via a press release that you can post on your website.
2. Stay connected with outlets that cover legal industry diversity, such as Minority Corporate Counsel Association or Minority Business News.
3. If you have a diversity section on your website, make sure that it is easy to find. Prospective clients and employees who want to know about your diversity initiatives want to easily access that information without having to search for it. An example is our diversity statement here.
5. Always communicate your good work through any and all outlets. Share it on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and your blog. Don’t be afraid to brag a little bit. Not only will people enjoy it, but you may inspire others to do the same.
